Selling PLR products on eBay is something that often gets overlooked. When most people think about eBay, they think about second hand items, electronics, collectables, and physical products. However, digital products can also be an opportunity if you understand the platform rules and take the time to create something worth buying.
PLR can give you a head start because much of the product has already been created. Instead of sitting down and writing an ebook from scratch, you can take existing PLR content, improve it, give it a fresh look, and turn it into your own digital product.
Before doing anything, I recommend checking eBay's current rules regarding digitally delivered products. Policies can change, and the last thing you want is to spend hours creating listings only to find you're selling the product in a way eBay doesn't allow.

Don’t Just Upload the PLR Product
One mistake I see people make is downloading a PLR product and immediately trying to resell it exactly as it is. The same title, the same cover, and the same description are used without making any changes.
Personally, I think this is the wrong way to use PLR.
If ten other sellers have access to the same product, you need to give buyers a reason to choose yours. Start by changing the product name and creating a new cover. Read through the content and update any old information. You can also add a checklist, resource guide, or short bonus report.
You don't have to completely rebuild the product. The idea is to make it better and give it your own identity.
Choose Products People Actually Want
Not every PLR product is going to sell well on eBay. Spend some time researching before choosing what to list.
Search for topics related to the PLR products you have available and look at what buyers appear to be interested in. Business guides, hobbies, personal development, templates, and educational material may give you ideas for products to create.
I always recommend starting with a topic people are already searching for rather than trying to convince people they need something completely new.
Research first. Create the product second.
Create a Better eBay Listing
Your listing is where you need to convince someone that your product is worth buying.
Use a clear title that explains exactly what the buyer is getting. Avoid filling the title with random words simply because you think they might help your listing appear in more searches.
Your description should also be easy to read. Explain what the product covers, who it is for, and what the buyer will receive. If you're selling an ebook, mention the file format and give the buyer a clear idea of the topics covered.
Good product images can also make a big difference. A professional ebook cover or digital product mockup can make your product feel much more valuable than a basic screenshot.
Think About Creating PLR Bundles
One method I personally like is combining related PLR products into bundles.
Instead of selling one small ebook about social media marketing, you could create a complete social media business bundle. It might include several guides, checklists, worksheets, and resources.
Bundles can give buyers the feeling they're receiving much more for their money. They also give you an opportunity to combine several smaller PLR products that may not be strong enough to sell individually.
Just make sure everything in the bundle is related. Adding twenty random ebooks together doesn't automatically create a valuable product.
Start Small and Learn What Works
My advice is to avoid uploading hundreds of products on your first day.
Start with five or ten well prepared products and see what happens. Pay attention to which listings receive views and which products attract interest. If one topic performs better than the others, create more products around that subject.
Selling PLR on eBay is not about throwing as many products online as possible and hoping something sells. Take your time, improve the products, and learn from the results you're getting.
PLR gives you a massive head start because the basic content is already there. Your job is to take that content and turn it into something people actually want to buy.
If you approach it properly and stay consistent, eBay could become another useful place to sell your PLR products and reach buyers you may not find through your own website.
Can I sell subscriptions to my SAAS lead generation software site? 10 different softwares for$99.00 a month?!
Hi Paul,
Doing this via eBay I don’t believe there would be any such option or method for this. As eBay is based an e-commerce platform.
I hope this helps.
Hi,
We are not from the U.S. and burning ebooks to C.D.s and deliver them over shipment is not practical. So we cannot do this on ebay?
Hi Giovanni,
I completely understand what you mean. In some countries, this is an eBay policy but in some other countries, you can simply list them as digital products and send them to your customer’s email address. New policies are always changing with eBay, so I recommend finding out first just to be certain, as you don’t want your selling privileges restricted.
I hope this helps.
Another way is to make a manual/report for the digital item. I do this for my eBay Power Pack in the form of a starters pack. They get all the info on how to use the product. All i do is print it out and send them it in the mail.
Great advice, Geoffrey. That’s the best way to sell digital products on eBay these days, and it’s 100% compliant.
You can put the products in the cloud I use Mediafire you get 1 terabytes for $5.00
Just send them a link from your Mediafire or dropbox whatever you decide to use.
That’s a great idea and a good price compared to other cloud services out there.
Can you sell digital products on eBay? In fact, I was just writing an ebook on it yesterday before I found this. You have to sell under a certain category. I have a 3-page PDF, but it was copied right out of there rules, so I was going to mix it up a bit before giving it away.
Just do a search on it you will find there are a lot you can sell and it’s mostly things you have rights to or you made yourself. Or something someone gave you the rights to sell. Now I don’t remember what the categories, you will have to find that on your own. I just looked at my PDF, you need to use the classified category for most.
eBay doesn’t allow selling of digital products on their marketplace no longer, only within certain countries, whereas some still do. One method to get away with selling digital products on eBay is to burn them onto a CD and send them out to the buyer’s physical postal address. I see many people doing it this way and by doing so, their making a considerable amount of sales daily.
I just copied the rules of selling on eBay in the united states two days ago. It would not be on their site if you could not sell the digital products. You can just look at the rules all you need to know is on their site.
Makes sense.
Thank You but how will they get their products since its a digital product? Will I provide a link for them to download or will I need to make them a hard copy and ship them?
Hi Enock, you’re welcome. And to answer your question it all depends on which country you’re located in and which eBay your selling on. As I’ve noticed that not all eBay’s around the world allow one to sell digital products. What I mean by this is any product has to be a physical product. So countries allow you to send the user a download link once they have purchased it. If you’re not allowed to sell digital products, what you can do is then burn it to a CD and send it via post. Either way, will work fine.
