Selling and Distributing Your Digital PLR Products

If you've spent time creating, customising, or collecting quality PLR products, the next question is obvious: where should you sell them?

Many people assume they need to build an entire ecommerce website before they can start making sales. While owning your own website is a fantastic long-term goal, it isn't the only option. In fact, there are several platforms that allow you to upload your products and begin selling within minutes.

These platforms handle much of the technical work for you, including secure payments, file delivery, customer downloads, and order management. That means you can spend more time creating and marketing your products instead of worrying about complicated website development.

In this tutorial, I'll introduce two popular platforms that are excellent choices for selling digital products. Both are beginner-friendly, easy to set up, and require very little technical knowledge. Each has its own strengths, so choosing the right one depends on your business goals and the type of products you plan to sell.

If you're just starting out, either of these platforms can help you begin earning online much sooner than waiting until you've built a complete ecommerce website.

Sellfy

Sell PLR on Sellfy

Sellfy has become one of my favourite platforms for selling digital products, especially if you're looking for a simple way to launch your own online store without dealing with web hosting, complicated plugins, or coding.

The platform is designed specifically for creators who sell digital products, subscriptions, print-on-demand products, and online content. Everything is managed through a clean dashboard that makes uploading and selling products extremely straightforward.

Why I Recommend Sellfy

One of the biggest advantages of Sellfy is how quickly you can get started.

After creating an account, you simply:

  • Upload your digital product.
  • Add a title and description.
  • Set your price.
  • Upload product images.
  • Publish your product.

Your store is then ready to accept payments.

Sellfy also allows you to create professional storefronts that can be customised to match your own branding. This gives your business a far more professional appearance than simply sharing payment links.

Product Bundles Increase Sales

One feature I particularly like is the ability to create product bundles.

Instead of selling a single ebook, you can combine several related products into one package.

For example, you could bundle together:

  • An ebook
  • A workbook
  • Checklists
  • Articles
  • AI prompts
  • Templates
  • Graphics
  • Bonus videos

Bundles often increase the perceived value of your offer while encouraging customers to spend more with each purchase.

Marketing Features

Sellfy includes several useful marketing tools built directly into the platform.

These include:

Discount codes

Perfect for running special promotions or rewarding your email subscribers.

Product upsells

Encourage customers to purchase additional products before completing their order.

Email marketing integrations

Connect your products with your email marketing system to build your customer list.

Analytics

Track visitors, sales, conversion rates, and customer behaviour to better understand what's working.

These insights allow you to continually improve your marketing over time.

AI Can Help Improve Your Listings

Although Sellfy doesn't generate your content automatically, AI tools can make creating product listings much easier.

For example, AI can help you:

  • Write persuasive product descriptions.
  • Generate SEO friendly titles.
  • Create FAQ sections.
  • Write promotional emails.
  • Produce social media content.
  • Generate banner graphics.
  • Improve grammar and readability.

This allows you to create professional listings much faster while still adding your own knowledge and personality.

Pricing

Sellfy regularly updates its pricing, so it's always worth checking their website for the latest plans.

They typically offer several subscription levels depending on your business size and feature requirements.

If you're planning to build a serious digital product business, Sellfy is certainly worth considering.

Payhip

Sell PLR on PayHip

Payhip is another excellent platform, particularly if you're looking for the quickest possible way to begin selling digital products online.

It's designed for people who don't necessarily have technical experience and simply want to upload a product and start selling.

The interface is clean, straightforward, and beginner friendly.

Setting Up Products

Creating your first product is surprisingly simple.

The process generally involves:

  • Uploading your file.
  • Entering a product title.
  • Writing a description.
  • Choosing a price.
  • Publishing the product.

Within minutes you'll have a professional sales page ready to share with potential customers.

For beginners, it really doesn't get much easier than that.

Things to Know About PLR Products

If you're selling PLR products, there is one important point you should understand.

Payhip's policies focus on original content, so it's important to ensure your products comply with their current terms and conditions. If you're using PLR material, I strongly recommend customising it significantly before selling it.

This includes:

  • Rewriting the content.
  • Designing new graphics.
  • Adding bonus material.
  • Updating outdated information.
  • Creating new branding.
  • Including additional resources.

Using AI can help speed up this process by assisting with rewriting, expanding content, generating new graphics, and creating entirely new companion resources.

By adding enough value, your product becomes far more unique while also providing a better experience for your customers.

Always review Payhip's latest acceptable use policies before uploading any content, as marketplace rules can change over time.

Sharing Your Products

Once your product is published, Payhip provides a direct sales page that you can promote almost anywhere.

Popular traffic sources include:

  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • YouTube
  • Pinterest
  • LinkedIn
  • X
  • Email newsletters
  • Blog articles
  • Online communities

This makes it incredibly easy to begin promoting your products without needing your own website.

Pricing

One of the reasons Payhip remains so popular is its low barrier to entry.

They offer plans suitable for beginners through to established businesses, with transaction fees varying depending on the plan you choose.

Since pricing occasionally changes, it's always worth checking their website before making your decision.

Which Platform Should You Choose?

If you're wondering which platform is better, the answer depends on your goals.

Choose Sellfy if you:

  • Want a branded online storefront.
  • Plan to build a larger digital product business.
  • Want advanced marketing tools.
  • Like creating product bundles.
  • Need additional ecommerce features.

Choose Payhip if you:

  • Want the fastest setup possible.
  • Prefer simplicity.
  • Have little technical experience.
  • Want to start selling quickly.
  • Need a straightforward digital delivery platform.

Both platforms are capable of delivering digital products automatically, processing payments securely, and giving customers instant access after purchase.

Don’t Forget Your Marketing

Uploading your product is only the beginning.

The biggest mistake I see people make is expecting customers to magically discover their products.

You still need to actively promote your offers.

Some of the best marketing strategies include:

Content marketing

Write helpful blog articles related to your products.

Email marketing

Build an email list and stay in regular contact with your audience.

Video marketing

Create YouTube tutorials demonstrating your knowledge.

Social media

Share useful content instead of constantly posting advertisements.

AI assisted marketing

Use AI to generate blog ideas, email sequences, video scripts, promotional graphics, social media captions, and SEO content much faster than doing everything manually.

The more consistently you market your products, the more opportunities you'll create for sales.

Final Thoughts

Selling digital PLR products has never been easier. Thanks to platforms like Sellfy and Payhip, you no longer need advanced web development skills or expensive ecommerce software to start building an online business.

Both platforms allow you to upload products, accept payments, and deliver digital downloads automatically, allowing you to focus on what really matters—creating valuable products and attracting customers.

Whichever platform you choose, remember that success comes from more than simply uploading products. Take the time to customise your PLR, improve its quality, build your own branding, and use modern AI tools to streamline your workflow and improve your marketing. Combined with consistent promotion and a focus on helping your audience, you'll be well on your way to building a profitable digital product business.

  1. Hi Daniel, does PayHip only pay us through PayPal, or do they have other
payment methods for payments. Thank you for sharing your information.
I have been doing affiliate marketing and PLR for almost 3 years now, never heard or found PayHip or Sellfy. Learn something new everyday.
    Thanks again, Gary

    1. Hi Gary,

It’s nice to meet you. PayHip lets you add your PayPal or Stripe account, which means when a customer makes a purchase from you, the payments go directly to either of those accounts, depending on what your customer has purchased through. When this happens, PayHip takes a small fee based on a percentage.

The best thing about this is that when you make a payment, the payment instantly goes into your PayPal or Stripe account and there is no waiting around.

      I hope this helps.

  2. I never made a penny whit payhip

    1. Hi Kurt,

I completely understand what you mean. I think the biggest issue when people don’t make money using PayHip, is that they’re not sending traffic to their offer.

When I mean traffic, I mean the right traffic, people who are actually interested in what you’re offering. I recommend starting with one product, something good, a unique offer too, and by doing so, concentrate on that one offer. This way you can see what works and what doesn’t.

The internet is over-saturated these days, so it takes more time and effort to find out what works. It goes the same for Amazon. Back in the day you could list a product and it would sell, these days, it won’t sell at all if you don’t send the ‘right’ traffic to that offer.

This pretty much goes the same for YouTube and anything online these days.

      I hope this helps.

  3. Hello

Can you tell me how to find digital products and set them up in Payhip for example ?
Similarly, are there PLRs adapted to the French market? I do not know because I start
Thank you to you I am interested

    Patrick

    1. Hi Patrick, I’ll be doing a video course on using PayHip. So keep a look out on this topic within the Class Resell section within the next upcoming weeks. Also, with products begin in the French market, most products here are in English. But having said that, a lot of people translate them into their own language, which PLR is ideal for this. I hope this helps.
