22 Top Ways to Make Money with PLR Products

22 Top Ideas To Make Money From Using PLR Products

At least three times every week, I receive a personal message from someone who follows me on social media or is a member here at PLR Database.

The question is usually something along the lines of:

"How can I actually make money with PLR products?"

It's a fair question. In fact, it's probably one of the most common questions I've been asked over the years.

The simple answer is that there are many ways to make money with PLR. I could probably sit here all day listing different ideas, business models, and strategies you could try.

But before I share some of my favourite methods, I want to talk about something that I personally believe is far more important.

The One Thing Most People Get Wrong

From my own experience in online business, one of the biggest reasons people fail is not because they chose the wrong product.

It's not always because they picked the wrong niche. And it's certainly not because there aren't enough opportunities online. Most people simply give up too quickly.

I've seen this happen more times than I can count. Someone discovers a new method, gets excited, spends a few days or weeks working on it, and then suddenly disappears when the money doesn't start rolling in immediately.

A week later, they're trying something completely different. Then another method. Then another opportunity.

Before they know it, twelve months have passed and they've started ten different projects without giving any single one of them enough time to actually work.

I've been working online for many years, and I can tell you from personal experience that business has its ups and downs.

Some months are fantastic. Other months make you question what you're doing. That's business.

It doesn't matter whether you're running an online business, a local shop, a restaurant, a marketing agency, or selling digital products. There will always be challenges along the way.

The people who eventually succeed are usually the ones who stick around long enough to figure things out.

Stop Looking for the Quick Money Method

One of the biggest traps online is constantly looking for a quick way to get rich.

I understand why people do it. We all want faster results. Nobody starts an online business hoping it takes ten years to make their first dollar.

The problem begins when you expect instant success.

If you believe every new method should make you money within a few days, you're setting yourself up for disappointment before you've even started.

You try something. It doesn't work immediately. You feel frustrated. You give up.

Then the next shiny opportunity comes along and you repeat the exact same process. I've watched people do this for years.

The funny thing is, many of the methods they gave up on probably could have worked if they had simply stayed focused and improved what they were doing.

Sometimes you don't need a new business idea. You just need to get better at the one you're already working on.

The Right Mindset for Selling PLR

I wanted to mention this before sharing the ideas below because your mindset matters when working with PLR products.

PLR is not a magic button. You don't download an ebook, upload it somewhere, and automatically wake up the next morning with thousands of dollars in your account.

Can PLR save you an incredible amount of time? Absolutely. Can you build a real online business using PLR products?

Yes. I've personally seen what can be achieved with PLR. But you still need to take action. You need to test ideas. You need to improve your products.

You need to learn how to market them. Most importantly, you need to stick with it.

So, with that said, here are 22 ways you can start using PLR products to build an income online.

22 Top Ideas to Make Money Using PLR Products

1. Create a PLR Membership Site

One of my favourite business models is creating a membership site and adding new PLR content regularly.

Instead of making a single sale, you charge members a monthly or yearly membership fee.

This gives you the opportunity to build recurring income.

The key is to continue adding value. Give members a reason to stay subscribed by releasing fresh products, resources, templates, or training on a regular basis.

You're actually looking at an example of this business model right now with PLR Database.

2. Rebrand PLR and Make It Your Own

This is probably one of the most important pieces of advice I can give you.

Don't always sell PLR exactly as you downloaded it.

Change the title.

Create a new cover.

Rewrite parts of the content.

Add your own introduction, examples, opinions, or resources.

Turn it into something that represents your own brand.

When you do this properly, you're no longer simply selling another generic product. You're building products around your own business and establishing authority within your niche.

3. Combine Multiple PLR Products

Another great strategy is combining several related PLR products into one larger and more valuable product.

For example, you might have ten quality articles covering different areas of email marketing.

Instead of using them separately, you could rewrite and organise the content into a complete email marketing guide.

Add an introduction.

Create chapters.

Include a checklist.

Add a resource section.

You have now transformed several smaller pieces of content into a completely new product.

4. Create a Podcast or Audio Series

PLR content can be turned into audio content.

You could use the information as research and talking points for your own podcast episodes.

Another option is to rewrite the material into audio scripts and record them yourself.

If you don't want to use your own voice, you can hire a voice artist or use modern voice generation tools to create the audio.

People consume information differently. Some prefer reading, while others would rather listen while driving, exercising, or working.

Turning written content into audio allows you to reach a completely different audience.

5. Build a Coaching Product or Online Course

Take quality PLR content and use it as the foundation for a coaching program or online course.

Notice I said "foundation."

You should still add your own knowledge, experience, examples, and personality.

Break the information into modules and lessons.

Create worksheets.

Add action steps.

Record videos.

Include downloadable resources.

The perceived value of a structured course can be much higher than a simple ebook.

It can also help position you as someone with genuine knowledge in your niche.

6. Use PLR in Your Email Marketing

Running out of ideas for emails is a common problem.

PLR can give you an almost endless supply of topics.

Take an article or chapter from a PLR product and turn the main idea into an email.

You don't need to copy the entire article.

Pull out one useful tip, rewrite it in your own voice, and send it to your list.

At the end of the email, you can recommend one of your own products or an affiliate offer related to the topic.

7. Create a Paid Email Newsletter

You could also use PLR as research material for a paid weekly or monthly newsletter.

People will pay for useful information when it saves them time.

The secret is to focus on a specific niche.

For example, instead of creating a general business newsletter, you might create a weekly newsletter specifically for Etsy sellers, affiliate marketers, personal trainers, or small business owners.

Use PLR to help research and prepare the content, then add your own insights and recommendations.

8. Create Webinars

PLR ebooks, reports, and presentations can be turned into webinars.

Take the main points from the content and organise them into a simple presentation.

Teach the topic.

Provide genuine value.

Then, towards the end of the webinar, introduce a relevant product or service.

Webinars can be extremely effective because your audience gets to hear you explain the information in your own words.

This helps build trust and authority.

9. Create Your Own Products and Recruit Affiliates

Instead of always promoting other people's products, why not create your own?

Use PLR as the starting point.

Rebrand it.

Improve it.

Add bonuses.

Create a sales page.

Then set up an affiliate program and allow other marketers to promote the product for you.

Yes, you'll pay commissions on affiliate sales.

But you're also building a network of people who can send new customers into your business.

10. Create Video Courses

Written PLR content can easily be transformed into video lessons.

Take each chapter or major topic and turn it into a separate video.

You could appear on camera, record your computer screen, create presentation slides, or use a combination of different video styles.

You don't need a Hollywood studio.

Clear information and good presentation are far more important.

Package the videos together and you now have a complete video course.

11. Create Free Ebooks with Affiliate Links

This is a method I've always liked.

Take a PLR ebook and completely rebrand it.

Add useful affiliate recommendations throughout the content where appropriate.

Then give the ebook away for free.

Your goal is to get the ebook into the hands of as many people as possible.

Every person who reads it has the opportunity to click one of your affiliate links.

If the ebook is genuinely useful, people may even share it with others.

12. Translate PLR into Other Languages

This is something many PLR users completely overlook.

Most PLR products are created in English.

That means there are huge audiences in other countries and languages that may never see the original product.

You could translate and localise PLR content for different markets.

The important word here is "localise."

Don't simply translate every sentence word for word.

Make sure examples, terminology, currencies, and references make sense for the audience you're targeting.

13. Use PLR Content on Your Blog

Blogging takes time.

Researching topics takes time.

Writing detailed articles takes even more time.

PLR can dramatically speed up the process.

Use PLR articles and reports as research material and create fresh content for your website.

Rewrite the information.

Add your own experience.

Update outdated sections.

Include current examples.

This allows you to publish content much faster than starting every article with a blank page.

14. Use PLR for Content Marketing and SEO

Quality content can help attract visitors from search engines and other online platforms.

Take topics from your PLR library and build a complete content strategy around them.

One ebook could potentially give you dozens of article ideas.

Each chapter could become a blog post.

Each section could become a smaller supporting article.

You can then internally link related articles together and build a much stronger website around a specific topic.

15. Create Affiliate Bonuses

If you're promoting an affiliate product, PLR can be used to create valuable bonuses.

Let's say you're promoting an email marketing platform.

You could include a rebranded email marketing guide, checklist, template pack, or mini course as a bonus for anyone who purchases through your affiliate link.

People often compare multiple affiliates before buying.

A strong bonus package can give someone a reason to purchase through you instead of another marketer.

16. Build Your Email List with Free PLR Content

List building is still one of the most valuable things you can do online.

Take a useful PLR product and turn it into a free lead magnet.

It could be an ebook.

A checklist.

A report.

A template.

A short video course.

Give it away in exchange for an email address.

Once someone joins your list, continue providing useful content and build a relationship with them.

Don't immediately bombard them with sales emails.

Give them a reason to keep opening your messages.

17. Create Autoresponder Email Sequences

PLR content can be turned into complete email sequences.

Take a topic and break it into five, seven, or even thirty short lessons.

Each email teaches one simple idea.

At the end of selected emails, recommend a relevant product.

This works particularly well because you're not constantly sending random promotions.

You're taking the subscriber through a structured journey.

By the time you recommend a product, they already understand the problem and why they may need a solution.

18. Sell Digital Products on Online Marketplaces

You don't always need your own website to start selling digital products.

There are many digital marketplaces and ecommerce platforms where you can list downloadable products.

The key is to check the rules of each platform before listing PLR content.

Some marketplaces allow reworked PLR products, while others have stricter rules about resell content.

My advice is to always rebrand and improve the product first.

Create something that offers genuine value instead of uploading the same package hundreds of other people may already be selling.

19. Sell Digital Products Through Auction and Marketplace Sites

Depending on the platform's current rules, you may also be able to sell certain digital products through larger marketplace or auction websites.

Again, always check the terms before listing anything.

More importantly, think about presentation.

A professionally branded product with a clear description and strong graphics will usually stand out more than a generic PLR package with an old cover and a two sentence description.

20. Resell Products with Resell Rights

If the PLR licence allows it, you may be able to package and sell the product with additional resell rights.

This can increase the perceived value because your customer is not only buying the product for personal use.

They're also buying an opportunity to potentially resell it.

However, always read the licence carefully.

Not every PLR product includes the same rights.

Never assume you can pass on PLR or resell rights unless the original licence specifically allows it.

21. Sell PLR Products Through Social Media

You don't necessarily need a large website to start selling.

You can build an audience through social media and use a third party checkout or digital delivery platform to process payments and deliver your products.

Create useful posts around your niche.

Share tips.

Answer questions.

Build a community.

Then introduce relevant digital products to your audience.

The biggest mistake is constantly posting "buy my product" messages.

Give people useful information first.

When people trust your content, selling becomes much easier.

22. Turn PLR into Books and Publish Them

PLR can also be used as research and source material when creating books.

You can take multiple pieces of content, rewrite them, reorganise the information, add your own material, and create a completely new book.

Depending on the final product and the rights you hold, you may be able to publish through platforms such as Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing.

However, don't simply upload an unchanged PLR ebook.

Create something original and valuable.

Improve the content.

Give the book a clear purpose.

Make sure it genuinely helps the reader.

You Have More Opportunities Than You Think

The 22 ideas I've shared above are only a fraction of what you can do with PLR products.

That's what I personally love about PLR. One piece of content doesn't have to remain one piece of content. An ebook can become a course.

A course can become a video series. The videos can become social media content. The chapters can become blog posts. The blog posts can become emails.

The emails can promote affiliate products. The entire collection can eventually become part of a membership site. Once you start looking at PLR this way, you realise you're not simply downloading products.

You're downloading raw material that can be used to build something much bigger. My advice is not to try all 22 ideas tomorrow.

Choose a few methods that suit your skills and the type of business you want to build.

Then focus on them. Learn. Test. Improve.

And most importantly, don't give up simply because you don't see instant results.

I've been working online long enough to know that the people who keep showing up, learning from their mistakes, and improving what they do are usually the ones who eventually get results.

PLR gives you a head start. What you build from it is completely up to you.

  1. Daniel, when you talk about this whole markdown process etc…etc, do you just refer to the Amazon site, then you can repeat it, or for each site does there have to be a different markdown?

    1. Hi Maria, I’m sorry, but unfortunately, I’m not 100% certain of what you mean. Can you please clarify your question so I can better answer your question? Thanks in advance.

  2. I have published an ebook on amazon but amazon blocked my book

    1. Hi Abdul,

I understand what you mean. A lot of sites these days, such as Amazon Kindle (KDP) will not accept duplicate content, this is why it is important to make the content unique again. You will need to change the content of the ebook, change the titles, chapter titles, cover, etc. This way the ebook is unique.

Not only that, but when you do this, you’re not competing with everyone else as you’re then selling a unique ebook. I always recommend doing this regardless of the site and its requirements.

I hope this has helped answer your question.

      1. Hi Daniel
Thanks for the effort you have done. as you said, “important to make the content unique again, should change the content of the ebook, change the titles, chapter titles, cover, etc.”.
Do you mean an Amazon only? or on websites, FB pages, and blogs also?

        1. Hi Khalil, you’re welcome and it’s always my pleasure to help as much as I can. As you pointed out what I stated, this would have to be the most important thing to do with PLR content, otherwise, you’re competing with every man and his grandma, if you know what I mean.

Having said that, I recommend doing this in general, not just Amazon. Though it’s highly recommended for sites such as Amazon, as they’re cracking down on duplicate content, therefore, by making the necessary changes, you won’t have any issues in submitting a product on Amazon. This also betters your chances of selling them too.

          I hope this helps.

  3. Hi Daniel
Absolutely a great effort you have done for all of us.
I want to know that can I use same eBook or anything and sell it to my website OR it must be necessary to Re-brand it. Because make Re-branding of all the materials are quite lengthy process…

    Please give me advice.

    Thank you so much.
    Regards.

    1. Hi Dhaval,

You’re welcome and thanks for your wonderful feedback.

To answer your question, no product, such as an ebook has to be rebranded, but by rebranding a product (PLR) this makes the product unique to you and your audience, which means, that you don’t have to compete with everyone else who is simply selling the product without rebranding it.

So, at the end of the day, the choice is totally up to you. I hope this helps.

  4. Congratulations on the great content, greetings from Brazil

  5. Daniel, when you sell PLR on Facebook, do you just post about PLR products and market that on FB? Any examples we can learn from?

    1. Hi Ricky, there are many different strategies and techniques on how to do this. But I suggest trying different ones that all involve some type of social media marketing to find out which one is more effective.

Another method I would do, which I’ve seen people become successful in doing so is to have only one PLR on one subject. This way you will be building authority within this particular subject/niche.

That way people will see you as someone who knows about the topic in question.

      I hope this helps.

    1. Thanks, Dammy, I’m glad you found it useful. Keep an eye out in the future as I’ll be adding another edition similar to this article on some more ways to make money from PLR.

  6. Hi Daniel.

Thanks for this superb post. As you mentioned about Podcast idea, idea I would like to a similar idea to the list.

One can also create videos using the product material and mix it some additional information like tutorials.

    1. Thanks, and you’re welcome. Podcasts are an excellent idea. Also, how you mentioned using videos. These go really well and helps you build more for an authority in your niche.

  7. I Love you, sir :) Thanks a lot :) Thank you for sharing your knowledge… I will share this post too :)

  8. Hi, thanks for the information. I have, but I’m yet to make any money on the internet. I have no mentor, and I have been looking. I am limited on funds, and I would like to get started sometime getting some of my PLR’s online. I will be back to read your classes again to get the information I need. And those 2 sites you gave the guy above me I will check them out as well. I had never heard of them, but I will check them out soon.

    1. I’m glad you found the information provided helpful. To make money online it does take time and persistence. There is no such thing as making money online overnight for beginners, what would be worth calling home about, to say. Whatever your plan is to make money online, stick with it and don’t give up.

    2. Hi Norma; try using ‘safe lists.’ These are free advertising networks where you can earn advertising credits by opening emails and viewing other safe list members’ affiliate offers.

      I use Jerry Iannucci’s Mister Safelist because…

I remember Jerry from years ago as an honest guy and b) his safe list views cannot be done by automated bots (a cancer in the industry.)

Once you start doing the offer views, you’ll not only rack up credits to send your own offers; you’ll begin to see a lot of advertisements for companies that offer affiliate commissions in a “downline” structure.

Some are free, but all have ‘upsells.’ Use the free version until you are earning enough to pay for the upsell. These are products and services at the same time. I, for example, joined an autoresponder (not free) that pays commissions on members in your downline down to the 10th level.

So I can not only use the autoresponder, I can advertise it to build a list, build a downline and, hopefully, earn some profit. You’ll also see a lot of scams on safe lists. These may or may not be easy to recognize.

Do your due diligence before joining any offer.

As for PLR, I’ve noticed that some people are using a free Wix website to build their offer pages. I hope I have helped in some little way.

I am new to this and was actually compiling information on this very subject for blog posts. Unfortunately, my blog is not yet active as I am having trouble with my (un-named) website host saving my posts.

I will turn the follow-up requests to these posts ‘on’ in case you have additional questions.

God bless and be persistent; success will come to you. (Just try asking your boss for a $4,000 a month raise after a year of working 8-hour days!)

  9. Hi and thank you for the ideas and in fact, I’m struggling to make money online because I have no startup capital. I will start putting your ideas into motion because I have a lot of free time and I guess I can invest more time in that. I have a question?
    1. Can you name some sites where if I translate an ebook I can sell them on like other European Markets I can sell them on?

    1. Hi there, there are many sites online like this. Two of them I can think of that will benefit you are PayLoadz.com and TradeBit.com. I hope this helps.
