Can I make a video into a link to send by email?

Hi

I have figured out how to rebrand the video I have downloaded but is there a way to put the files together and create a link for ease of sending?

Hello Jean, what exactly do you mean when you say “create a link for ease of sending”? There are several ways to allow others to access and/or download the files.

Here are just 2 of the ways:

(1) Embed the video file into an HTML page and upload all the corresponding files to your website. Send a link to the webpage to whoever you are giving access to and the recipient can then click on the link and be taken to the page to watch the video.

(2) Compress the files into a .zip file, upload the zip file to your website (or any of the many upload sites such as mediafire, zippyfiles, dropbox, etc) and then send the link to the file so that when clicked on, the recipient is taken to the download page where they can then download the zip file which contains your video.

Do either of those methods meet your needs?

If not, please advise and I can offer a few other methods if needed. If you need further information or clarification, let me know and I can explain further, just let me know either way.

Thanks so much for the speedy response! I don’t really want to put it on my website because it’s going to be a bonus for people signing up to a program elsewhere and I don’t have a zip facility (though I could buy one I guess). So I just wanted to create a link that I could either send by email or on a messaging platform.

OK, well, you will have to store it somewhere, so, I would suggest zipping the files, uploading the files to your website or a site like Google Drive, Dropbox, Mediafire, etc., and then send your customers the download link in your email.

You said you don’t have a zip tool and you mentioned you could buy one, and yes, you could, however, there is a utility called 7-Zip which is what you need to “zip” the files, and best of all, it’s FREE…

Check them out at https://www.7-zip.org and download the version you need/want.
